Citrine can range from very light yellow to brown, reddish brown, and even have a tint of green to it. Natural citrine is rarely orange, although there is always the exception to the rule. When the Stone or crystal is natural, the color is consistent throughout or fades gradually in the case of a point, although it may, in the case of smokey citrine, be very dark with lighter yellow areas.
Sometimes people heat amethyst geodes, which turn them into an orangey-brown color points, with an abrupt change to white at the base. This is sold as citrine, and while it was amethyst an now looks like citrine, some people don't think it has any of the properties of citrine, but is still amethyst. I personally believe that the stone has gone through a change - and is now actually a form of citrine. While it may not be a strong a natural citrine, it is still citrine.
A similar example, and perhaps another post is green amethyst or prasiolite. This too has different properties than amethyst, and is created when amethyst is heated to a certain temperature.
Citrine is a variety of Quartz, a silicate.
It is a wonderful #healing stone - expanding the aura, filling it with light (sunshine in a rock!), clearing away toxins.
As it is in tune with the 3rd chakra, it allows for enhancing mental clarity and the flow of ideas and visualization.
Known as the 'merchants stone', citrine is excellent in assisting one in #manifesting, particularly when it comes to wealth! (Remember - not all wealth is monetary).
#Creativity, #Stamina, #Balance, #Focus, #Endurance, #Personal Will, #Clarity... All of these keywords and more are associated with this beautiful stone.
AND if that's not enough, citrine does not hold onto negative energy! That's right! It is one of the few stones that Never needs to be cleaned (spritually or ritually), and in fact it will clean your other stones too.
An essential stone to have in your toolbox/altar/medicine bag, or what-have-you, and beautiful to boot.
